Ok, class is well beyond being over and I noticed that I never gave a single update on the course…Oh, what a liar I am!!! lol
For those of you wondering WTF I am referring to, then read my post about the SubGenius online course Running Your Own Cult: Do’s & Don’ts.
The course was nothing more than an extensive overview on how the so-called Church of The SubGenius came to fruition. A long and rough SubGenius history course containing well over 18gigs of content including many pictures, audio recordings, document scans, and a bunch of original video footage.
Overall, it was entertaining none-the-less.
Although, I don’t think I got my money’s worth, but that’s my own fault for not putting in enough effort. I mean, there were assignments to do, yet none of the grades mattered. I viewed the course as nothing more than an expensive way to waste time…er…I mean gain Slack.
For those of you unfamiliar with Slack….it’s the whole foundation of the Church of The SubGenius’ philosophy. Without Slack you are not a true SubGenius. …and with out paying your ordainment dues you are surely not even close to being able to declare yourself a a member!!! I proudly paid my dues and am an official SubGenius…but, I don’t need a paper to tell me that…
I spent a great deal of my course time over at Alt.Slack(which is the popular hangout spot) conversing with the craziest bunch of Internet nutcases! …and I mean Nutcases in the nicest way possible.
The bi-weekly SubGenius course chat sessions were the most entertaining aspect of my $135 bucks. At first, they had started off with a bang, but quickly became nothing more than a few people shooting the shit about topical events and the history of the Church of The SubGenius. Which was still very fun!

…All in all I would do it again, but unfortunately Rev. Ivan Stang hints at the fact that this could very well be the last SubGenius course that will be offered at MaybeLogic.net.
But, for those of you who would like a peak at the material presented in the course, you can easily email me(on the about page) and I will provide you with some of the more notable content available in the course. …Or you could wait, cause I got word of the strong possibility of the course materials being offered on a sort of home-study DVD that may be released in the coming future.
