My post from last year will shed more light on this issue. READ IT HERE
Second year in a row that I have noticed that Google doesn’t like Mexicans
err…rather they do not change their logo for Cinco De Mayo.
Wonder if this has anything to do with their political views?

Why should they?
We are AMERICAN. We speak ENGLISH. Its ok for Mexicans to celebrate if they so wish to celebrate but if they want to celebrate Mexico…then they should go back to Mexico to celebrate it as far as Im concerned. Thats the problem here in the USA. We are USA . We celebrate the FOURTH OF JULY. When you come to live in America, then you celebrate OUR holidays and go back to Mexico or your country to celebrate yours. If we came to Mexico and celebrated the FOURTH what would yall do? Better yet, do you have a FOURTH OF USA? in Mexico????????????????????????????????????
Star, I’m assuming you are 12 years old. I hope this is a fair assumption.
Just FYI…Cinco de Mayo isn’t even celebrated in most parts of Mexico. Contrary to widespread belief, Cinco de Mayo is NOT Mexico’s Independence Day. It’s actually on September 16th. Cinco de Mayo is celebrated more in the United States than it is in Mexico, so I don’t think it’s disrespectful for Google to choose not to recognize it.
