I became a fan of Gary Spivey after hearing him on 107.5 The River in Nashville, TN in 2002. I thought he was amazing and very dead on with his predictions and readings. Shortly after becoming a fan, I was so excited to hear that he was coming to Nashville to hang with Woody and Jim and their fans. I bought a ticket and was so glad I was able to be a part of that evening. In 2000 I lost my father and was very interested in talking with Gary in the hopes that he could contact my dad so I knew he was okay. That evening I was actually able to talk with Gary and through him to my father. It was amazing and I know for a fact he did not know me or my dad; nor did I provide any information to Gary or any of his assistants. Though I was not ever going to get over the fact that I lost my father so quickly, talking with my dad and knowing he was happy and watching over me made all the difference in the world. I was able to go one other time to see Gary at a seminar a few years later and also purchased his Keys to Heaven book and read it from cover to cover. It had been years since I was able to see him live and he had not been on 107.5 The River in a long while.
I was excited to see he was coming to Atlanta on March 21, 2009. I jumped on tickets and patiently waited for the day I could travel down to an all day seminar. Unfortunately, on March 16th I got an email with the bad news. Apparently the people from the morning show that was sponsoring the seminar were fired and a co-host had canceled. All that purchased tickets were going to be put onto a master list for the make up date and they would reschedule as soon as Gary secured a new date. When I called to find out particulars, they were trying to reschedule and couldn’t give me any other information. They did say they thought it would be a month or so and they would get back to me.
March…April…May…no word at all. I finally decided that I needed to call and see what was going on. I had purchased two tickets, so I was not the only one that was going to be out money and I felt obligated to ask for a refund. I started calling 1-800-827-4279 on a weekly basis because there was never a live person answering the phone. They did have an answering machine, so I started leaving messages. After a month of calling I finally got a call back but it was with the office manager who was unfortunately not the person that could give me a refund or even authorize one. Commence the phone calls to catch the bookkeeper on a day she was working. I finally got her one day after calling for a few weeks (June 30, 2009). She apologized for the delay in rescheduling the seminar. She told me that she would cut a check the following Monday (July 7, 2009). That day came and went and no check. I waited the appropriate time in case it got caught in the mail and started calling again. It is now September 29, 2009 and I have yet to receive a refund, nor a call back from my numerous messages.
The reason I’m posting this on MySpace is because I know there has to be a lot of Gary Spivey fans on here. I was hoping that someone, somewhere either can relate to my story, knows what I need to do in order to file a complaint with PayPal (where I paid for the tickets) or wants to commiserate with my misery. I want to think the best of people, especially someone as gifted as Gary Spivey, but after all the hoops and hurdles I’ve had to go through to get a refund, I’m starting to wonder what type of business he is running. Why would someone take money for a seminar and then not refund the money as soon as the seminar was canceled? I can understand if it was postponed and rescheduled, but this has apparently in the cards, so give us back our money!!!!!
Amanda – paypal is the best. You can avoid going through the gary spivey site and file your complaint directly with paypal. If it is no longer showing in your log on paypal, just call. They will deal with getting the money.

When you go to Gary’s site there is no contact address. I purchased the book and cd’s but because I am not in the US i had to purchase the ebook and MP3 downloads. The book did not come in pdf format and I have to download it each time to read it. The MP3′s are not downloadable to another device or program such as my IPod or Win Media and I have to sit at the computer and to do a meditation. Thank goodness I have speakers. I don’t know about anyone else but the mood is not the same sitting at a desk as being comfortable and sitting in my meditation chair. Still I have had some wonderful experiences with the meditations. I have attempted in vain to contact his office in the US as there is no contact details on his web other than a phone no in the US. I did get an email address from a friend in the states and I have emailed now 3 times over the last 3 months asking for assistance or for the program to be sent out by mail. Nobody ever comes back to me. I think that Gary has a skill and I think that his flamboyent ways are just an avenue to get everyone’s attention but any business on the web usually has a contact email address but not Gary. This does not give me any confidence that his intentions are honorable in fact after reading Amanda’s story, it only convinces me further that money is the motive. I feel very sorry for him for that. Maybe what started out as a genuine intent to help heal others has now turned sour with the promise of big dollars.
i had a phone consultation with gary 2 years ago. most of what he said was silly. just before i spoke to him i took out a lock of my deceased mom’s hair and my dads mass card…both have been gone for a long time. as i looked at the hair i thought is was funny how pretty it looked even after so many years. about 15 minutes into the call i asked if gary saw my mother around me. he said he saw a woman who was trying to get his attention. she was touching her head and saying nice hair. it totally sent goose bumps down my spine. i can explain all the other crap away but not that! do you think it was just a lucky guess? i looked him up on the Internet and almost died when i saw his silly pictures…his look doesn’t help his credibility.
Yeah, he does look a bit on the silly side. I can’t say whether or not he posses any actual psychic skill, for all I know he could be the world’s biggest fruit-cake!
I spoke with gary last month and he told me how i was going to get a job. But it was the detail that he told me that got me believing him even more. He told me that a job that i applied for was hiring for two part time positions but mine will turn into a full time position. So the job i had applied for before this reading never did call me back. So i gave up and just went to apply at lowes and i didnt realize it until after the interview. I walked into lowes and there was two of us applying for part time positions. before i left the interview the hr manager came to me and offered me a full time position. this may not be much but he was right on bulls eye.
Ok, first for everyone who thinks Gary is a fraud i would like to say that i met with him in Vegas for the first time last year. He was very precise and correct with all of his predictions and was able to read my mother and talk about my Nana’s murder and my grandmother, and how she was doing. He had also told me i would save many people because of my special gift to read people and tell the future and see and get rid of demons. I also was able to see angels and communicate to God, himself. However, if you think he’s greed or he loves money, your wrong. God blesses those who follow his path and destiny he has for you. Also, if you help people you will be helped in return. So Gary’s success in his wealth is from his abilities. Also, im sorry about the inconvenience with the tickets and booking, however, not everyone is perfect. Gary, you must remember, is not God or Jesus. He may possess many remarkable capabilities, however, he is not perfect, so take that to heart. And the gifts Gary has given me, has saved my life many times from getting out of situations, and it has also helped me read and help people in general. The gifts he will provide you are boundless, but you must choose to use them and get in touch with God. Please see Gary, he is a life changing experience, practicing communication with angels or demons may be dangerous is you aren’t told by God or a messenger of him so i do advise this. Gary Spivey is THE biggest fraud I have ever met in my life. My husband had committed suicide and I heard him on the radio talking and “connecting” with loved ones that others had lost. Well, I decided to waste my money and call him and he told me about these stupid demons and that since my husband committed suicide that he was bound to Earth and that he would release him so he could go to heaven. Then he kept asking me if I felt my head getting warm, this, that… I felt nothing. Unfortunately, when you’re emotionally distraught you will believe anything. He even coaxed me into going down to NC for a Spiritual Retreat, which I wasted a lot more money on. Granted, points were relaxing- because the scenery was nice. We went to one spot in the mountains and meditated and he said to me, “look! Do you see your husband? he is with God in a carriage and he’s waving to you!” Bullsh*t!! How dare you say that to a widow? Especially when all I see is a bunch of trees. (This was in 2007). Later on, I started dating and he had told me that this guy was my soul mate and that I would go crazy without him. Well, after a few weeks of dating he started hacking into all of my e-mail accounts and myspace and he was spreading rumors to make me turn against my friends (saying my friends were spilling personal information that I was confiding with them in my e-mails). Then I broke up with him and he slashed my tires. But let me tell you… my life has been beautiful ever since. I have grown SO much and am happier more than ever. I also have found a different psychic who charges $25 for an unlimited amount of time. She has predicted so many things in my life. She says some people do have the psychic ability but greed gets to them and then it interferes with their abilities. You’ll get what’s coming to you, Spivey! I just hope soon people start realizing you’re a huge fraud so you can stop ruining lives!

I believe that Gary Spivey is a strange guy with a real gift. I am not saying that he is 100% accurate. I am not saying that I agree with everything he says or believes but I experienced his chilling accuracy first hand.
I went with a friend to see Gary Spivey last fall. We live in an old 1932 house and many strange things have happened over the 7 years since we bought the house. My youngest step daughter and I have both seen dark shadow figures in the house, almost like a solid silouette with mass shaped like a man. We have heard footsteps upstairs when no one was up there. The dog has stood in the doorway of my step son’s room barking like crazy when no one was in there and when we turned on the light in the room the desk chair was spinning wildly and no windows were open. I have heard voices in the house when I’ve been the only one home. Those are just a few of the weird things.
I asked Gary if we had a ghost in our home. (My husband and step children have always been convinced that our house was haunted although I have never thought that what I’ve seen was ever human. I did not say this to Gary.)
Gary told me that we had a “cutter demon”. He asked me if any of the kids had been cutting themselves. I was positive that none of them were. He told me that cutter demons are often accompanied by suicide demons and they want to make people feel depressed and worthless. They make people want to cut themselves and want to kill themselves to escape the pain.
I was sceptical of what he said but he got rid of it for me and cleared the negative energy from our house. As soon as I got home I spoke to each of my step daughters privately. I asked each of them if they had every cut themselves. To my shock and horror they each privately admitted that at one point they had been. The youngest even admitted that for a while she often thought of committing suicide by slitting her wrists!
I always used to think that people who claimed to be psychic must be just really good at reading people and drawing information from them that they might not even realize they are giving away. There is absolutely NO WAY that Gary could have known that my step daughters were cutting themselves when not even I knew or would have believed had I not heard the words come out of their own mouths! It’s not like they even knew that the other was doing it either. They were each surprised to hear that the other was cutting herself.
Since Gary got rid of the demon our house has been peaceful and quiet and no strange things have happened to anyone. I used to hate coming home after work because of the feeling of dread I got when I walked through the front door. My husband and I used to argue and get on eachother’s nerves for no reason. Since he got rid of the demon and the negative energy we have all been getting along great and have been spending a lot more time together as a family. You can choose not to believe and you can call him a fraud if you like but I believe he has a real gift and I believe he may have saved my family!
I saw Gary in person, and it was fun. You have to realize, he’s human. What he’s going through personally that day, could get in the way of his reading you. His emotion could take over and cloud his vision. He’s figured out by now how to overcome it the bulk of the time, but again, he’s human, so perfection isn’t possible. No one could be right THAT much and help THAT many people by pure coincidence, it’s literally impossible. Not to mention the rules he has to follow by the givers of his gifts. And the fact that paths can change.
In conclusion, he’s upbeat and allows the rest of us to feed off his energy, he usually has good news, he is sympathetic, and he is a good communicator. Be greatful you have access to some information, and can get answers to some of your questions. If Gary, or any other human had full gifts to know everything there is to know about life and death, past, and future, all this would be pointless. We wouldn’t even be here because we would already know everything. Have faith, learn, and most of all, LOVE!
I have had a private reading with Gary and have also gone to many of his seminars and workshops. He saved my brothers life and got him of drugs. He has helped my family out in more ways then I can count. So these people must not have dealt with the Gary Spivey I know.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble getting a response from Gary or his staff. The story has been the same for many people, as I have read on the Internet.
