Yes the all the rumors of my death are false!
I am indeed still alive and kicking.
I know it’s not fair to be gone sooo long from my BLoG. But, hey…when real life creeps up on ya…what can you do?
Anyways…thought I’d take the time to give you all an update…to let you know that I still plan on posting. I am currently re-working a few pieces of artwork into a 11×17 poster format. …which I must mention looks pretty damn cool when printed out. …and I say this not to ‘toot’ my own horn, but rather express the awesome feeling that comes about from seeing your artwork on a medium other than a computer screen. From pixels on a screen to dots on a paper!
I recently decided to print my artwork rather than let it sit idly by on my computer’s hard-drive collecting digital dust. I’d much rather share it with the public…a.k.a. YOU! Feedback is awesome!
If anyone is interested in purchasing a poster of mine, that could be arranged as well. =)
…also, I am working on today’s post…this was just an update of sorts.

Ok, class is well beyond being over and I noticed that I never gave a single update on the course…Oh, what a liar I am!!! lol
For those of you wondering WTF I am referring to, then read my post about the SubGenius online course Running Your Own Cult: Do’s & Don’ts.
The course was nothing more than an extensive overview on how the so-called Church of The SubGenius came to fruition. A long and rough SubGenius history course containing well over 18gigs of content including many pictures, audio recordings, document scans, and a bunch of original video footage.
Overall, it was entertaining none-the-less.
Although, I don’t think I got my money’s worth, but that’s my own fault for not putting in enough effort. I mean, there were assignments to do, yet none of the grades mattered. I viewed the course as nothing more than an expensive way to waste time…er…I mean gain Slack.

This was my personal Photoshop project for today…I had a real bad case of designers-block before doing this piece. I should be good to go for another couple of days. I think…Ha ha. Enjoy!

Here’s a little something I created for the Church of the SubGenius.

Today I decided to design a little something that reflects/reinforces the ‘Sheeple’ concept, and how easily we are conditioned by television programming.
Feel free to comment on what thoughts this piece brings out in you.

“If the education of our kids comes from radio, television, newspapers – if that’s where they get most of their knowledge from, and not from the schools, then the powers that be are definitely in charge, because they own all those outlets.” -Maynard James Keenan
“The nuclear generator of brain sludge is television.” -Dave Barry
“Television has brought back murder into the home – where it belongs.” -Alfred Hitchcock

I recently started reading a book by Jiddu Krishnamurti, entitled Freedom From The Known.
It’s a really good book that talks in depth about freeing yourself from pre-conditioning/programming that parents and society provides.
I’d recommend it to anyone looking for freedom from negative/useless conditioning.
It gave me inspiration to create the piece below, it will have it’s own unique meaning to each person who views it.

Oh Gnome!!!
**Edit:
A lot of you have been stumbling onto my page by looking for the age old question:
“Who came first, the Travelocity Gnome, or the Gnome in the movie Amalie?”
Look no further as I have the answer!
The movie Amelie was released in 2001, while the Travelocity Where’s my gnome? commercials started in 2004.
The Travelocity gnome was inspired by a really cool prank.
Also…
As a child I remember watching The World of David The Gnome on Nickelodeon, which was actually a Spanish cartoon brought to the U.S. in 1987, the foul year of my birth.
