This is the stuff legends are made of … quite literally!
Whether you call it the Bigfoot, Skunk-Ape, Sasquatch, or the California Superbear one of histories greatest unsolved mysteries is still going full force these days!
Ah, Yes! Cryptozoology! One of the world’s most fascinating subject matters!
For those who are unfamiliar with the all too popular and long disputed legend of Bigfoot, than I encourage you to do a brief read HERE. (Not to be confused with the Legend of The Yeti…which some speculate that the Bigfoot descends from.)
Below is the Uber-infamous Patterson-Gimlin footage that was filmed on October 2oth, 1967 and has since been seen around the world countless times:
With this next video…some will shout, OLD VIDEO…others will laugh and enjoy viewing it for the first time! Hoorah for both peoples!
I love old N.E.S. games and I love short films! So…yeah..naturally I love short films involving Nintendo characters…duh!
Whatever happened to our favorite video game plumber after rescuing Princess Peach(A.k.a. Princess Toadstool)?
Let’s flash-forward and take a look at the post-Mushroom Kingdom adventures of Mario.
That’s the one and only Gary Spivey!
Wait…what? …you’ve never heard of the self-proclaimed psychic known as Gary Spivey?
Where have you been the last 25 years? Jeesh!
The course was nothing more than an extensive overview on how the so-called Church of The SubGenius came to fruition. A long and rough SubGenius history course containing well over 18gigs of content including many pictures, audio recordings, document scans, and a bunch of original video footage.
Overall, it was entertaining none-the-less.
Although, I don’t think I got my money’s worth, but that’s my own fault for not putting in enough effort. I mean, there were assignments to do, yet none of the grades mattered. I viewed the course as nothing more than an expensive way to waste time…er…I mean gain Slack.
Again…Disney…I know, I know…you’re thinking I have some weird fetish involving Disney characters, Right? …oh, you’re not? Hmmmm…Than you surely must be thinking I am running out of unique topics to flabber on about?
Au Contraire!
I just have a deep admiration for vintage magazines, specifically from the 70′s. Which is where the snippet below came from. I also have the entire comic, if anyone is interested…Just leave a comment and I’ll email it to you. =)
Whoa!, I had no idea what the past was like for both Warner Brothers and Disney animation…But this next video clip stoops to an all time low for both shock value and it’s crude racial undertone.
…and what’s worse is that Bugs Bunny was one of my favorite cartoon characters to watch while growing up…I could never have imagined that he would be used to try and sell U.S. War Bonds … I guess that shows how naive a child’s mind can be… especially my own.
All in all, propaganda/advertising is even more ubiquitous these days, so I guess we’ll have to just shrug this one off…er…
